Zhuhai, Guangdong and Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan are separated by more than 2,000 kilometers. As Zhuhai’s counterpart helps the Nujiang out of poverty, the exchanges between the two regions have also become frequent. Due to the poverty alleviation policy, more and more Nujiang people have come to Zhuhai to work and study.

In 2020, more than 400 students from Nujiang came to Zhuhai by participating in the “Zhuhai-Nujiang Support Program” and received 3-year vocational skills training in the “Nujiang Class” of 9 Zhuhai secondary vocational technical colleges.

Zhang Chi, a blue-collar worker from Nujiang, came to Zhuhai 4 years ago and worked in a foreign company after graduating from the "Nujiang Class". Po Xiangduo, a labor broker, led more than 580 villagers from Nujiang to Zhuhai for work in three years. Paul Xiong is a student who came to Zhuhai this year to learn auto repair skills.

The video tells the story of them leaving their hometown to find their dreams in Zhuhai.
