Want to experience the special Guangdong customs of Chinese New Year and prepare some local goods for the festival? Guangdong Cultural Center has prepared a series of interesting activities for you to immerse yourself in Guangdong's culture? come and join!

On January 30th, a New Year's Fair featuring local intangible cultural heritages was held at the Guangdong Cultural Center. This event invited nearly 30 intangible cultural heritage units and inheritors from Guangzhou, Foshan and Dongguan to present a full range of related goods to the public.

The most eye-catching part of the fair was the wide variety of foods, from diverse kinds of cakes to bacon and sausage. The event also featured all sorts of traditional handicrafts of intangible cultural heritages, such as Guangzhou olive kernel carving and Foshan lion head making. What's more, famous calligraphers wrote Spring Festival couplets and Chinese character '福' (literal meaning 'blessing') for visitors at this fair.

Ms. Chen, a Guangzhou resident who brought her child to the event, said, “I want to help my child feel the charm of Chinese culture by attending this activity.”
