Have you seen an acrobatic version of Romeo and Juliet? How spectacular is it? And how sad it could be in the end?
The Butterfly Lovers, a contemporary acrobatic show, is based on the love story of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, a Chinese version of Romeo and Juliet.
The show, premiered at Guangzhou Opera House, gives the audience a real visual feast by drawing from the cultural essence in the east and combining it with the modern art. It reproduces a classical love story transcending space and time.
During the 2021 Women’s Art Festival, it will be staged again at 7:30 pm on March 5th and March 6th at Guangzhou Opera House. Don’t miss out.
