When mentioning Guangdong, one may immediately think of its rapid social development. However, besides economic strength, it is also a province blessed with abundant natural resources. For example, it has a total wetland area of 1.7534 million hectares, accounting for 9.76% of its land area. You can enjoy peace and quietness remote from urban life in these wetland parks.

The province recently announced that four more wetland parks have passed the state-level test, including Huayang Lake Wetland Park in Dongguan, Jinyin Lake Wetland Park in Yunfu, Wengjiangyuan Wetland Park in Shaoguan and the Overseas Chinese Town Wetland in Shenzhen. So far, there are a total of 27 national wetland parks in Guangdong.
Guangdong will also continue to preserve its wetland through various ways, and help build the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into a bay of birds, according to the province’s wetland protection act implemented recently.
