As the Chinese New Year approaches, more districts in Guangzhou have released their plans of hosting flower markets. In general, you must make an appointment before your visits and there is also visitor control. Even if the district you live in has cancelled flower market this year, there is alternative choice for you!

Zengcheng: flower market shortens time and requires visitor control

Zengcheng flower market had its time originally scheduled for 5 days (February 7th- 11th), however, now it will be reduced to 3 days: February 9th - 11th.

Time: 9:00 - 20:00, February 9 - 10

      9:00 - 18:00, February 11

A reservation system will also be implemented, with the daily limit at 75% of its maximum capacity. Visitor control will be practiced during the three periods.

February 9 - 10

♥ 9:00 - 12:00: 6000 people

♥ 12:00 - 16:00: 10,000 people

♥ 16:00 - 20:00: 14,000 people

February 11

♥ 9:00 - 12:00: 5000 people

♥ 12:00 - 15:00: 10,000 people

♥ 15:00 - 18:00: 15,000 people

Moreover, to hang out at the flower market, Guangzhou people need to make a reservation via the Suikang mini-program, a unified reservation platform to visit city's flower markets during the Spring Festival in Guangzhou. Please stay tuned for follow-up information about reservation starting times.

Panyu District: flower market open for 5 days

The flower market in Panyu district will last from February 7th to 11th (5 days in total), one day shorter than previous years.

Location: surrounding sections of Jisheng Vanke Plaza in Shiqiao Street & Guihua Road on the east side of the Media Convergence Center

Time: 9:00 - 20:00, February 7th - 10th

      9:00 - 18:00, February 11th

Panyu has also implement a reservation system. Visitor control is practiced during three periods between February 7th - 10th, while on February 11th two periods. The max capacity is 4000 people during each period.

 

Even if the flower market is cancelled, you still have Lingnan Flower Market

This year, many places in Guangdong have cancelled flower markets due to the COVId-19 outbreak. Don't be upset, the country's largest flower market is also located in Guangzhou.

Location: around No. 666, West Wuyan Qiao, Liwan District, Guangzhou

Subway: Line 5 Jiaokou Station

(1) Use exit A2 and then walk 1.5km

(2) Use exit B2, walk to the intersection of Guangfo Road (Jiaokou Terminal Station), transfer to Guang 969 Bus to Wuyanqiao Terminus (Yongweifang)

Starting from January 25th, the staff of Lingnan Flower Market will be open for duty. The market will have 30 staff members to take charge of temperature checks. At the same time, there will be 30 staff to manage traffic, to ensure epidemic prevention and control during the festival.
