The Chinese New Year is approaching. And this year’s holiday will start from February 11 (Thursday) to February 17 (Wednesday).
The Guangdong Health Commission and Human Resources & Social Security Department advise to minimize travel and gatherings. They encourage Guangdong residents to spend holidays in the province and exercise protection measures. Family gatherings are suggested to be limited to 10 individuals.
The Human Resources & Social Security Department puts forward the following suggestions:
1.Try to stay in Guangdong for the Chinese New Year. The government and enterprises will help you solve the difficulties and have a wonderful Chinese New Year.
2.Reduce unnecessary travel. It is recommended not to go to medium- and high-risk areas during the holidays. If passengers want to travel, please understand the local epidemic prevention and control policies in advance and take personal protective measures.
3. Reasonably arrange work and life. Please make reasonable arrangements for your vacation and try to travel off peak. If you need help, please contact the social department.
As of midnight January 11, Guangdong Province has reported a total of 2076 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (680 imported cases). 43 cases are currently in hospital.

Some areas require nucleic acid test reports
Recently, some regions require visiting passengers to report in advance and present a negative nucleic acid test report. For example, people from outside the province to Weinan City, Shaanxi Province must have a negative nucleic acid test report within 3 days. Those who do not have a nucleic acid test should be tested immediately by their territories. Yixian County, Anhui Province requires a nucleic acid test report within 7 days. Therefore, please check the local entry policy of your destinations and plan your itinerary reasonably before travel.
