Recently, 12 towns and 14 villages in Guangdong province have been listed as demonstration zones at the national level for the province’s great strides made in rural revitalization.

Since the initiation of the strategy ‘one village one product, one town one industry’ in 2019, Guangdong has been investing 1 billion yuan every year for rural revitalization. The products and industries mainly include fruits, vegetables, tea leaves, poultry, flowers, plants, and aquatic Products.

For instance, Yu Gonglou village in the west of Guangdong is known for its pineapple, while Gongguan and Rudong Towns have been revitalized by their Tilapia and lychee industries. Daqiao Town in the north is home to tea-oil tree, whereas Xiniu and Longtian Towns are good at producing Ma bamboo shoots and meat pigeon.

So far, 3,000 villages and 200 towns in Guangdong province have been subsidized to fully tap in their local specialties and develop leading industries of their own.
