Did you feel a chill when you went out this morning? Did you notice that the ground was getting wet when you walked on the street? According to the Guangdong Weather, a strong cold air front will be affecting Guangdong from the night of December 13th to December 15th. The average daily temperature in the province will drop by 5℃-8℃.

Compared with several temperature drops before, however, this cold air has brought a wet raw weather to Guangdong, which was dubbed by Cantonese as "magic attack" of Southern China.

According to Guangdong Weather’s real-time monitoring system, the cold air has swept through the central part of the province. As of this morning, eight orange cold warnings and 59 yellow cold warnings have been issued throughout the province. From December 15th to 16th, cities and counties in northern and western Guangdong as well as the Pearl River Delta region will be overcast with sporadic light rain, while the remaining cities will be cloudy with scattered light rain.

Freezing rain or sleet is forecast for tomorrow morning in Guangdong’s northern mountainous areas, such as Lianshan Mountain (连山) and Jinzishan Mountain (金子山). People who want to admire the snow and have a holiday break can travel to these places.
