Flights from Mahan Air, Neos Air, Turkish Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines will be suspended after passengers on the flights tested positive for COVID-19, according to an announcement on the official website of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
Under the "reward and circuit breaker mechanism", airlines must suspend flights on a route for a week if five passengers test positive for coronavirus. If the number exceeds 10, the airline must suspend flights for four weeks.
The suspended flights are as follows:
The quota for the above-mentioned flights shall not be used for other routes. However, flight W5081 from Mahan Air, flight TK72 from Turkish Airlines, flight LO093 from LOT Polish Airlines, as well as flights NO946 and NO976 from Neos Air before Nov 2nd can continue to operate. If a flight triggers the circuit breaker mechanism during this period, the suspension time -will accumulate.
