Guangzhou-based tech company HeyGears recently launched a new 3D printing machine "UltraCraft A2D 4K" and a new solution to large scale production of invisible braces.

As 3D printing technology is consistently improving, specialized application of the technology has had a sweeping impact on our daily lives, especially on dentistry.

Guangzhou-based tech company HeyGears recently launched a new 3D printing machine "UltraCraft A2D 4K" and a new solution to large scale production of invisible braces at Langham Place Guangzhou during the Dental South China International Expo (DSC) between September 16th and 19th, 2020.

UltraCraft A2D 4K, a new product of the company's UltraCraft series, resolves the contradiction between the breadth and precision. It can reach a resolution ratio of 3840*2160px and expand the breadth to 206*116mm, achieving high-precision and increasing production capacity simultaneously.

The new 3D printing machine can not only meet the needs of customers' personalized treatment, but also cater to over 50 highly demanding and high-precision dental applications such as implants and repairs.

The company also offers a new head-to-toe solution to the application of invisible braces, covering the whole process from automated data processing, 3D printing mass production, automatic identification of gumline, and automatic cutting of invisible braces to the final products for patients to wear in their mouths.

Its UltraCraft A2D Ortho included in the solution has a fully automatic production system HiVE and is able to produce invisible braces around the clock. In order to achieve that, the company has developed special resin for dentistry with high fluidity and low viscosity, which resolved the matter of residues being unable to be removed during automatic production.

Li Chuanshu, vice president of West China Dental Chongqing Hospital, pointed out at the launch event that 3D printing technology which visualizes the diagnosis and treatment scheme greatly contributes to the communication between doctors and patients and enhances patients' trust in hospitals. The technology also helps to increase the accuracy of surgery, lower surgical risk and reduce pain, according to Li,

Sheng Yanlin, CTO of Shenzhen-based YZJ Dental Lab, believes that 3D printing and digitization is well worth investing into and a great opportunity for dental enterprises to transform and upgrade their development models.
