Several leaders of foreign chambers of commerce reviewed the guidebook and gave some favorable feedback.

On August 21st, the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province officially released the "Invest Guangdong 2020", a new guidebook for foreign investment. The guidebook, in both Chinese and English, was also launched on Newsgd.com and Southcn.com, providing comprehensive information on investment policies, services, opportunities and more to foreign investors.

Several leaders of foreign chambers of commerce reviewed the guidebook and gave some favorable feedback.

"Invest Guangdong 2020 has the benefit of centralising all useful information in one stand-alone publication organised in a very structured, concise and clear way for Guangdong's perspicacious investors," said Francine Hadjisotiriou, General Manager of the European Chamber South China Chapter.

Francine also paid special attention to the "Key Investment Policies" in the book, including "Intellectual Property Protection" and "Incentives for Talent". She pointed out that more detailed information about relevant legal measures and some peculiar infrastructures in Guangdong to protect IPR will be better, and it will be great if there is an additional link on more details about how to apply for Guangdong Superior Talent Card.

Ms. Romina Di Martino, Office Manager of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, also gave a few suggestions after carefully reviewing the guidebook. She thinks that it will be great to add a little more information about the government incentives for foreign companies in Guangdong and the 26 specific measures to promote the Greater Bay Area's financial reforms put forward by the People's Bank of China and the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission in May.

"If a foreign investor reads it, he or she will be given a complete orientation of Guangdong's investment environment," Dr. Harley Seyedin, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in South China, said after reviewing the guidebook. "It highlights Guangdong's highly transparent business environment and preferential policies which will definitely attract more investors," Dr. Seyedin added.

It's learned that the comments given by these chamber leaders will be taken into consideration for next year's updated version.
