The China Sports Culture Expo and China Sports Tourism Expo is scheduled to be held at the Poly World Trade Center in Guangzhou between November 27th and 29th, according to a press conference held on August 6th.

The China Sports Culture Expo is hosted by the General Administration of Sport of China (GASA) and Chinese Olympic Committee (COC). The China Sports Tourism Expo is hosted by All-China Sports Federation, COC and China Tourism Association. The event has been held in Guangzhou for five consecutive years between 2018 and 2022.

Compared with the last two years, this year will see a larger scale with over 500 brands in attendance, over 15 forums and more than 160,000 people attracted to the event.

On the theme of "Healthy China Powered by Sports", this year’s expo features the intangible cultural heritage of Chinese sports, including traditional sports martial arts and China Go, and the connections with smart technology, according to Huang Jin, Vice Director of the Sports Culture Development Center of GASA. New infrastructure like AI, 5G, and big data will be adopted to stimulate sports consumption and expand the market in the sports industry.

Huang emphasized, aside from safeguarding offline epidemic prevention and control, the expo will expand online services for overseas guests and exhibitors who cannot come to the site.

"Since the expo settled in Guangzhou in 2018, it has been an all-round international platform for sports culture & industry display and trading, which boosts the high-quality development of Guangzhou sports and has helped Guangzhou develop into an international sports city."
