Starting from 10 a.m. on August 7th, people who travel from Hong Kong to Shenzhen and Zhuhai (through Zhuhai port of Hong Hong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge) are required to present valid negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test results which have been issued within 24 hours and undergo a 14-day medical quarantine.

The nucleic acid test results issued by a testing institution should be recognized by both Guangdong and Hong Kong governments. Important business personnel, cross-border truck drivers and others who have been approved to be exempt from entry quarantine will not be affected by the new policy.

Earlier on July 17th, Shenzhen and Zhuhai issued the previous policy requiring those inbound travelers to present valid negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test where results were issued within 72 hours of the sample collection date.
