Guangzhou's high temperature alert has been issued for 25 days this July, ranking it the first time in history. The weather was so hot that most locals have needed to stay in air-conditioned places day and night. But the good news is that, starting from Sunday (August 2nd), it’s going to cool down a little. However, rainstorms and strong gales will hit Guangzhou with concentrated rainfall in southeast areas. In addition, from August 1 to 5, continuous heavy precipitation will batter Meizhou, southern Heyuan, and other cities in eastern and western Guangdong and the southern Pearl River Delta.
