Guangzhou municipal government will hand out consumption vouchers valued at some 30 million yuan ($4.3 million) to the public starting from 8 pm on July 17th. Local residents and tourists who come to Guangzhou can receive vouchers through the "Love Tour Guangzhou (爱游广州)" WeChat mini-program and use the vouchers in 668 cultural and tourist places, including scenic spots, hotels, physical bookstores, homestays, theaters and travel agencies.

Wei Bin, assistant president of Sunac Cultural and Tourism Group, stressed that the consumer coupons are applicable to all products and services in Sunac Land, Sunac Snow World, Sunac Water World, Sunac Sports World, and Sunac Mauve Hill Hotel.

Wen Qian, vice president of Guangzhou Guangzhilv International Travel Agency, stated that in order to give a better experience for tourists, the full range of tourism products sold by Guangzhilv, including team travel, customized travel and individual travel bookings, are all available to coupon users. People can purchase their favorite tourism products on Guangzhilv’s official website, APP, and all stores in Guangzhou.

In addition, consumption vouchers can also be used in the Grand View Aquarium, Grand View Rainforest Ecological Garden, Guangzhou Book Center as well as other interesting places.

Who can receive the vouchers?

Registered WeChat users, including Guangzhou residents and foreign tourists visiting Guangzhou. Each WeChat user is limited to get three vouchers and can receive up to 1 coupon per day.

Face value

There are three different consumer coupons: 100 yuan, 50 yuan and 30 yuan. If you spend more than 101 yuan, you can use the 100 yuan coupon, if you spend more than 51 yuan, you can use 50 yuan coupon, and if you spend more than 31 yuan, you can use 30 yuan coupon.

Issue date

8 pm on July 17, every day from July 18 to August 13 at 2 pm and 8 pm.

How to get the vouchers?

Scan the QR code below to enter the "Love Tour Guangzhou (爱游广州)" WeChat mini-program, then click to receive the coupon you want.

Drawn coupons are deposited in WeChat card package (WeChat—Me—Cards & Offers). They will be valid for three months from the date of the draw. When people consume at the designated cultural and tourist places, as long as the expense is higher than the coupon’s face value, the WeChat wallet will automatically deduct the corresponding coupon value from their expense.

The "Love Tour Guangzhou" mini-program will update the list of more consumer places and companies that can use the vouchers. There also will be professional staff and detailed instructions in every consumption place where coupons can be used.
