China is Africa's largest trading partner. According to statistics released by the General Administration of Customs of China on January 23, China-Africa imports and exports reached about 208.7 billion USD in 2019, with an increase of 2.2% year-on-year, of which exports to Africa were 113.2 billion USD, with an increase of 7.9% year-on-year. However, due to the pandemic, the China-Africa trade fell by 14% in the first quarter of this year.

It brings a difficult task for both sides to fight against the economic effect of the pandemic. This online market for African countries just means a start, it is hoped to hold more such events in the long term, according to an official of the Southern Metropolis Daily.
