The province is forecast to see more thundery showers over the next 3 days due to an incoming southward warm and humid air flow. There will be thunderstorms and gale force wind with speeds in excess of 60km/h in some areas.

On June 1st, Zhaoqing, Qingyuan, Shaoguan, western Guangdong and the coastal cities and counties of the Pearl River Delta are expected to see torrential rain, with the remainder of the Pearl River Delta will see heavy rain with 60 km/h winds. Other cities and counties will see scattered thundery showers.

On June 2nd and 3rd, thunderstorms are expected to sweep over the whole province. Gale force winds are forecast to hit Zhaoqing, Qingyuan, Shaoguan and cities and counties to the west of Guangdong.

Meteorologists have once again issued warnings about rain related disasters such as landslides, and also to exercise extra caution due to the high winds forecast to hit some areas.
