According to the Ministry of Commerce, enterprises will not be charged participation fees for the 127th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair). Moreover, cross-border e-commerce platforms will also not be subject to any fees.

The 127th session of the Canton Fair will be held online from June 15th to 24th due to the pandemic. In recent years, foreign trade businesses have been facing increasing difficulties, such as reduced demand from overseas markets.

The Ministry of Commerce has previously reduced participation fees for many sessions of the Canton Fair and waived booth fees for enterprises from poor areas. The total savings for enterprises attending the fair is in excess of 2 billion yuan.

During this year's online session, participation fees will be waived across the board, applying to all enterprises except for optional added-value services, such as advertising. It is hoped the measure will help enterprises safeguard jobs.
