The 57th press conference on Guangdong's fight against COVID-19 was held in Guangzhou today (April 26th).
Secondary schools’ senior students will resume their off-line classes tomorrow, which will bring new challenges in terms of epidemic prevention and control.
Before getting back to school, all personnel will receive a notice providing health tips, according to Zhou Zixiao, Deputy Director-General of the Health Commission of Guangdong Province.
Inbound travelers and people returning from Hubei provicne will undergo nucleic acid testing. Teachers and students with red or yellow health codes, or without a code should undergo a 14-day medical observation at home or designated venues , followed by a further nucleic acid test.

At the same time, to create a more hygienic environment for teachers and students to return to school, Guangdong will ensure the sanitation of key places: classrooms, laboratories, libraries, dormitories, canteens, toilets, as well as air-conditioning systems and school buses.
As of midnight of April 25th, Guangdong had confirmed 1 new case, a locally transmitted case in Guangzhou (previously asymptomatic, detected through community investigation).
Moreover, 2 new asymptomatic cases were reported in Guangzhou, among which 1 had been locally transmitted (detected through investigation into close contacts), the other from Hubei (detected through community investigation).
