Starting from tomorrow (April 27th), passengers must present their health code before being granted entry to either of the airport’s two terminals, according to the authorities in Guangzhou. After undergoing a temperature check, passengers with blue or green codes will be allowed to access the terminals, and those with red codes will be denied.
People intending to visit Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport must apply for a ‘Suikang’ code via the ‘Suikang’ WeChat mini program in advance.
According to the latest announcements, further to the two terminals, passengers need to have their temperature checked and present their ‘Suikang’ code before entering airport hotels, city terminal and other areas.
To streamline the process the airport has put up ‘Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport Suikang code’ (or ‘Airport QR code’) at temperature checkpoints at entrances to the terminals. After scanning the ‘Airport QR code’, passengers who have already applied for a ‘Suikang’ code will directly display the ‘pass certificate’ page. The color of the page’s frame is the same as your ‘Suikang’ code.
Passengers who have not yet applied for ‘Suikang’ code before should scan the ‘Airport QR code’ and complete real-name verification and health declaration process to enable the ‘pass certificate’ page.
Those who do not have a smart phone or haven’t got installed WeChat on their phones, can have their companions or airport staff apply for a ‘Suikang’ code on their behalf.
Foreigners and passengers from Hong Kong and Macao SARs who have a Chinese mobile phone with WeChat, can complete real-name verification using either their passport or Exit-Entry Permit to get a ‘Suikang’ code.
