The province has offered funds for subsidies to reduce the burden on enterprises. From February to March, those policies provided a total of 39.3 billion yuan of deferred and extended social insurance, pension funds, work injury and unemployment insurance in Guangdong.

The department is also helping to promote recruitment and enable employees to get back to work. For instance, due to the 24-hour labor dispatching mechanism for key enterprises, more than 140,000 new employees have been recruited for core industry chain enterprises.

Furthermore, the province has held a total of 2482 online recruitment meetings with 3.283 million jobs posted, helping to fill 252,000 positions.

89,000 labourers were transported from eastern, western and northern Guangdong to work in the Pearl River Delta region. The province has sent special buses, trains and planes to pick up 251,000 migrant workers to resume work, nearly half of whom are originally from Hubei.

Due to the economic damage and unemployment risk brought by the pandemic, there is a certain challenge to realizing a stable job market.

The province has therefore launched a raft of other policies to improve the standard of unemployment insurance return for SMEs, to extend the job seeking period of some college graduates and offer subsidies to graduates from Hubei.
