Guangdong reported the second imported COVID-19 case in Shenzhen. The patient in question is a 70 year-old Chinese national living in Lianhua No. 1 Village (莲花一村) of Futian District, Shenzhen, according to a statement at the 39th press conference on Guangdong's fight against COVID-19 today.

The individual in question travelled to Spain on January 10th. On March 1st she left Spain (Flight No. EY0050), and arrived at T3 terminal of Beijing Capital International Airport at about 8:20 AM on March 2nd via Abu Dhabi of UAE (Flight No. EY0888). She flew back to Shenzhen (Flight No. ZH9104) the same day. Her son picked her up from the airport by car.

The lady started to show signs of of fever on March 3rd, and went to Peking University Shenzhen Hospital next day. After being tested on March 5th and the re-examined by the Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention, she was confirmed as having contracted the illness on the early morning of March 6th. 

The patient has now been transferred to Shenzhen No. 3 People’s Hospital for treatment and is in stable condition. The residential community she lives in has been thoroughly disinfected. 

As of 16:00, today, all 7 people who have had close contact with the patient both at home and in the vehicles she took have been quarantined. Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention are currently tracing people who may have had close contact with the patient on flights No. EY0050, EY0888 and ZH9104.
