Starting from February 17th, the running interval during rush hour will be shortened to 2 and a half-4 minutes for core lines.
Starting from February 24th, normal daily schedule for both workdays and weekends will be implemented. If passenger flow continues to increase, passenger flow control will be initiated.
Bring your ID card when taking the Guangfo Line
Passengers taking the Guangfo Line from the Financial Hi-Tech Zone station to the Xinchengdong station should present their ID card for checking, as of February 11th, according to Foshan’s publicity department.
Guangzhou Metro do not require every passenger to present their ID card, but ask for their cooperation with identification checks executed by the police at some stations.
Compulsory temperature check
Passengers are required to go through temperature screening at both entrances and exits of operating public transportation stations across the city. More than 200 temperature screening checkpoints have also been set up on main roads to check vehicle based passengers.
To contain the spread of the virus, public transportation operators have intensified disinfection, ventilation and sanitation processes for both vehicles and stations. The metro security machine conveyor belts are cleaned every three hours. Trains will be thoroughly disinfected after arriving at terminal stations. Tunnels will be ventilated for 30 minutes before and after operation time.
High speed trains suspended
Due to the epidemic control and passenger volume, a dozen trains departing from the Guangzhou East Railway Station have been suspended. The refund period has been extended for passenger convenience.
