The third plenary session of the 13th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress is to be held from January 14th to January 17th, according to a press conference held on Thursday.
Huang Xuequn, the spokesman of the 2020 Guangdong Legislative session, stated that the panel will summarize Guangdong’s achievements in the spheres of politics, economics, culture, society and ecology over the last year, and set out the mission and work statements for the province’s opening-up and development in other fields for the coming year.
The session will discuss the work reports of the Guangdong government, the standing committee of Guangdong's Provincial People’s Congress, People’s court of Guangdong, People's procuratorate of Guangdong and have some other agenda.
Also, two press conferences will be held to highlight economic development, budget reform, people's daily lives, ecological improvement and the development of the Greater Bay Area.
According to Huang, this year, the standing committee of the Guangdong People’s Congress will see the attendance of 22 delegations and 83 officials from Consulate General offices in Guangzhou of 52 different countries, who have also been invited to attend.
