According to the Guangzhou Metro, the complete route of Line 21 will open at 6 p.m. tomorrow. After Line 21 comes into operation, there will be a total of 513 kilometers of track throughout the metro system.
Line 21 coincidentally features 21 stops connecting Zengcheng District to Guangzhou city center, via the following stations: Yuancun, Tianhe Park, Tangdong, Huangcun, Daguan Nanlu, Tianhe Intelligent city, Shenzhou Lu, Science City, Suyuan, Shuixi, Changping, Jinkeng, Zhenlong Xi, Zhenlong, Zhongxin, Kengbei, Fenggang, Zhucun, Shantian, Zhonggang and Zengcheng Square.

According to Southern Metropolis Daily, the line features a combination of regular and express trains. In the initial phase of operation, the running interval between regular trains will be about 8 minutes, and that of express trains half an hour.

A one-way trip takes around 53 minutes, 14 minutes shorter than the conventional trains.
The express only stops at nine stations: Yuancun, Tianhe Park, Tangdong, Huangcun, Daguan South Road, Suyuan, Zhenlong, Fenggang and Zengcheng square.
Furthermore, passengers can transfer to other lines: Line 4 at Huangcun, Line 5 at Yuncun, Line 6 at Suyuan and Zhenlong for Line 14.
To familiarize passengers with this dual operation mode, the line will provide information through timetables, platform passenger information display systems, LED screens, projectors, broadcasts, signboards and brochures at each station.

Line 21 stations are equipped with toilets at the end of the platform where passengers enter and leave the train. Accessible facilities, and a mother & baby room are also available.
