Lingnan Holdings, a Guangzhou-based company leading in tourism, signed a cooperative agreement with Guangdong Southern Tigers, one of the best-performing teams in the Chinese Basketball Association, and Yi Camp on December 9th, aiming to further cooperation in the fields of sports and tourism and provide the young with more sports training options.

According to the agreement, the three companies will launch a customized basketball summer camp in 2020 targeting 8 to 14-year-old basketball lovers nationwide. The project will integrate resources of Linnan, Guangdong Southern Tigers and Yi Camp to offer professional basketball training in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The participants will be able to visit the Guangdong Southern Tigers and have interaction with Guangdong Southern Tigers players and coaches.
Yi Jianlian, a Chinese basketball star and the founder of Yi Camp, hopes the project could make good use of the fame of Guangdong Southern Tigers, the professional sports training services of Yi Camp and the tourism resources of Lingnan to develop a reliable platform for athletes training and selection. “I hope we can discover more outstanding basketball players for Guangdong Southern Tigers and push forward the development of Chinese basketball through this project,” he said.
The summer camp will be launched and promoted at the GZL tourist agency which is a subsidiary of Lingnan with more than 200 branches nationwide.
Furthermore, the partnership will also expand into such fields as sports training, sports tourism, sports research& culture promotion and talent fostering &selection in the future.
