It is with pleasure that we invite you and your family to join us on Dec.14th, 2:50 pm-5:00 pm to celebrate the Winter Solstice Festival at the Art Museum of Cantonese Opera!

Last year foreign experts and their families from the UK, United States, Germany, Russia, Canada, Japan and other countries followed the instructions of a dim-sum master chef and tried their hand at making dim-sum themselves

You can learn to perform Cantonese Opera from the masters or try your hand at making typical Winter Solstice dim sum such as Tangyuan (a kind of stuffed small dumpling ball made of glutinous rice flour ), dumplings, rice cake and so on.

The Art Museum of Cantonese Opera features many traditional Lingnan architectural stylings. If you are interested in traditional Cantonese culture, the museum should be the first place you visit. It is located in Liwan District, which not only is one of the city’s oldest districts but is also the birthplace of Cantonese opera.

‘Guangzhou: A home away from home for Global Talent - discovering the new colour of Guangzhou’, the event is an activity hosted by the Guangzhou Foreign Experts Bureau to give foreign experts a chance to get involved in the local life of Guangzhou.
