Winter Solstice (Chinese: 冬至) is one of the 24 solar terms of the year. This year the Winter Solstice falls on December 22nd. There was a saying in ancient China, "The Winter Solstice is as significant as the Spring Festival".
It is with pleasure that we invite you and your family to join us on Dec.14th, 2:50 pm-5:00 pm to celebrate the Winter Solstice Festival at the Art Museum of Cantonese Opera!
Last year foreign experts and their families from the UK, United States, Germany, Russia, Canada, Japan and other countries followed the instructions of a dim-sum master chef and tried their hand at making dim-sum themselves
You can learn to perform Cantonese Opera from the masters or try your hand at making typical Winter Solstice dim sum such as Tangyuan (a kind of stuffed small dumpling ball made of glutinous rice flour ), dumplings, rice cake and so on.
