A large number of masterpieces from Russian-French artist Chagall, Spanish painter Picasso, Chinese-French painter Zao Wou-Ki and many other remarkable artists from around the world, are going to be showcased during the 24th Guangzhou International Art Fair (Autumn). The event will be held in Area C of Canton Fair Pazhou Complex between November 29th and December 2nd.

During the fair, there will be over 350 organisations from more than 40 different countries, encompassing a wide range of art forms, such as sculpture, installation, photography and paintings, eastern and western schools, and classic and contemporary pieces.

The exhibition features 12 major pavilions, on themes such as urban regeneration, international vision, impression of the times, aesthetic corner and design art. Apart from western art, visitors will also stand a chance to appreciate significant Chinese schools, such as Lingnan art, Guangzhou public art and cultural heritage.

Furthermore, this year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Wu Guangzhong who is considered to be one of the greatest contemporary Chinese painters. To commemorate him, a special exhibition of Wu Guanzhong’s paintings will be held during the fair.

In addition, to provide an in-depth artistic experience for visitors, a series of appreciation, evaluation and auction activities have been planned by the organizing committee of the fair, such as the 2019 Contemporary Art Collection Appreciation Summit Forum and the Belt and Road International Artist Award Ceremony.
