The world is under one ceiling here in the Canton Fair,” said Khaled Ramzy, Export Director of Fresh Electric Company for Home Appliances (Fresh).

Fresh, one of the major players in the home appliances industry, was founded in Egypt in 1987. It currently produces over 980 distinct products manufactured and assembled in its own facilities.

Since the first phase of the 126th Canon Fair got underway, Fresh has been exhibiting its home appliances products at the International Pavilion for imported goods, including gas cookers, semi automatic washing machines, electric water heaters, air coolers, electric ovens, and microwaves.

According to Khaled Ramzy, not that many visitors came to the Fresh booth on the first day, but the number increased over the next few days. “We are not coming to collect a bagful of orders and return. Our goal is to promote our new products and showcase our brand at the fair,” Khaled Ramzy said, “Most of the meetings and negotiations we have here will lead to mutual visits and further cooperation: the orders will come after that.”

Since the Canton Fair launched the International Pavilion for imported goods in 2007, Fresh has attended every, just one among 13,000 other enterprises from over 100 countries and regions around the world that have exhibited their products at this Pavilion.

For Fresh, it is not only a chance to target the Chinese market, but also the buyers who come to each session of the Canton Fair from more than 200 countries and regions in the world. Fresh has been engaging in both sides of the fair, both purchasing and exhibiting over the past several years, whereas they initially only sent purchasing personnel to attend the fair.

Khaled Ramzy point out that, “We are also looking for Chinese suppliers at the Canton Fair. The export department I am in charge of is exhibiting our products here, while my colleagues are visiting the Chinese companies and making deals with them as importers.”

Having attended the fair so many times, Khaled Ramzy noted that the Canton Fair is as well planned and well organized as usual, but has also stepped up publicity and advertising in order to better attract different buyers from all over the world.

Over the past six months, the fair has organized promotion events in 15 countries and regions, covering key markets in Asia, Europe, Africa and North America, and held 19 video promotions regarding investment in 17 countries and regions around the world, particularly focusing on those along the Belt and Road.

The fair has launched various services for its exhibitors and buyers, such as the i-Invite program, an Overseas VIP Club, a Multinational Sourcing Service, Global Cooperative Partners Service, and an Advertisement Reward for New Buyers.

“Every time we come here, the organizers have more and more to offer. That has surpassed our expectations,” Khaled Ramzy concluded.
