South China’s biggest auto aftermarket expo kicks off in Guangzhou

The largest exhibition for automobile aftermarket in South China, the Auto Aftermarket Guangzhou (AAG), is being held in Pazhou, Guangzhou from October 11th to 13th.

The expo has 1438 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions display their latest products and solutions in three major segments including parts &components, tuning &accessories and repair &maintenance, aiming to provide an effective platform for international exchange and business cooperation.

Mauro Severi, President of AICA, addressed at the opening ceremony that the association led more than 30 Italian enterprises to participate in this year’s expo and exhibit their auto repair tools and devices, spare parts and tires. They also brought academic institutions including Politecnico di Torino to Guangzhou.

“Bologna is located in the Emilia - Romania region of Italy. It's famous for its auto industry and brands such as Lamborghini,” he said, “now that the region has signed a cooperative agreement with Guangdong, I believe cooperation between enterprises of two places will be tighter in the future.”

In addition, ReMaTec which is a world's leading remanufacturing trade show from Netherlands is co-launched and co-located with the AAG this year. It attracts a great number of companies in the field of remanufacturing technologies and devices from home and abroad, such as AGCores and Alec. According to the organizer, the launch of the ReMaTec in Guangzhou represents the need and recognition of the international remanufacturing industry of the Chinese market.

In Guangzhou, the auto industry has already become a pillar industry and now is facing new opportunities. The plan of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area indicates that the region will fully support the development of the auto remanufacturing industry. While Guangzhou has launched a plan on fostering the auto part industry and vows to invest 2.5 billion yuan in boosting the output of the auto part industrial parks by 200 billion yuan by 2020.

Supported by Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government and organized by Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau and Guangzhou Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, the AAG displays products from industry segments and bridges domestic and oversea brands. It is considered as an important move to achieve the city’s goal to develop the auto business.
