After a two-day contest, a total of 17 young pianists won the Guangdong competition of the 2019 Pearl River · Kayserburg International Youth Piano Competition in Guangzhou on September 22nd.

These contestants are going to participate in the finals of the 2019 Pearl River · Kayserburg International Youth Piano Competition in November, competing with outstanding pianists from both China and abroad.

The 2019 Pearl River · Kayserburg International Youth Piano Competition started from April this year and has been held in 36 competition regions around the world. The Guangdong competition was held in 16 cities, such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shantou, Foshan, Shaoguan, Zhanjiang and Zhongshan, attracting thousands of young pianists. About 300 contestants made it to the final of the region which was held at the Pearl River Piano’s National Cultural Industry Demonstration Base in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou.

The competition is hosted by the China Committee for Promoting Art Education and Guangzhou Pearl River Piano Group Co., Ltd., and organized by Guangdong Piano Association and Guangzhou Pearl River Piano Culture Education Investment Co., Ltd.

Held every two years, the Pearl River · Kayserburg International Youth Piano Competition has developed into a major cultural event with international popularity and influence.
