Guangdong expects more clouds and rain in the next few days, bringing lower temperatures in most of the cities throughout the province, according to meteorological authorities.

On July 30, thunderstorms are expected to hit the south of Guangdong. The highest temperatures of Meizhou and Heyuan may reach 35℃ while that of other cities may reach 33℃. On July 31, southern Guangdong could be hit by rainstorms and northern cities and see more clouds with temperatures running several degrees above 30℃. Cooler weather and fresh gales are expected to visit most cities in Guangdong.

Guangdong officials have warned residents to take precautions against heat stroke and natural disasters caused by the weather.
