Guangdong provincial Party committee and provincial government have released the Opinions on the Implementation of Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

It is an important outline guiding the current and future cooperation and development of the GBA. It covers the period from now to 2022 in the immediate term and extends to 2035 in the long term.

By 2035, the GBA should become an international first-class bay area for living, working and traveling, according to the opinions.

Also, specific requirements including developing an international innovation and technology hub, building a globally competitive modern industrial system, taking forward ecological conservation, developing a quality living circle for living, working and traveling are listed in this document.
