Masterpieces from the most famous painters, calligraphers and scholars in China such as Kang Youwei, Liang Qichao and Guan Shanyue are being exhibited to the public for free in Nansha from May 8th to 12th.
With the theme of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, this art and calligraphy exhibition by Chinese masters is the first practice of bonded exhibition in Guangdong Free Trade Zone (FTZ). 66 pieces of the artworks were delivered to Nansha’s bonded port through Hong Kong and exhibited based on the FTZ’s new policy of bonded exhibition and transaction.
The new policy enables enterprises to defer the tax payment and transfer their goods from Nansha’s bonded port to other districts in Guangzhou for temporary exhibition as long as they could provide a valid duty guarantee. If there are any transactions during the exhibition period, entrepreneurs could handle the tax payment all together afterward, which provides greater flexibility and a cash flow advantage.
Kenneth Fok, VP of the Fok Ying Tung Group, suggested that Nansha could contribute to a communication platform for young artists in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area. “I’m expecting more exhibitions and art training seminars to be held in Nansha, and the Fok Ying Tung Foundation will support these projects in the long run,” he said.
In the future, Guangzhou Greater Bay Area Bond Ltd and Hong Kong Sino United Publishing (Holdings) Ltd, the two organizers of the exhibition, will further their cooperation and jointly build a professional artworks bonded warehouse in Nansha. They will also encourage partnerships with international action agencies and develop Nansha a bonded service center for artworks.
