The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Guangzhou celebrated the May 3rd Constitution National Day in Guangzhou on April 26th.
2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationships between Poland and China.
“China and Poland share a long history of friendship and have achieved fruitful results in the fields of economy, trade, investment and education, experiencing accelerated collaboration,” said Yuan Baocheng, the Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. “Guangdong is willing to work with Poland in strengthening cooperation at high level, and linking the Belt and Road Initiative better with Polish development strategies.”
Yuan indicated that the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Outline Development Plan and the Foreign Investment Law will provide protection and more chances for foreign countries including Poland to cooperate with China. “It is our work priority to expend high-level opening-up and build Guangdong into a supporting zone of the Belt and Road Initiative.”
“Poland-China contacts include wide scope of issues, from academic and scientific exchange to city-level statistical offices,” said Adam Bralczyk, Consul General of Poland in Guangzhou. “The success of opening up and reforms in South China resounds globally, the Belt and Road initiative and the Greater Bay Area are innovations of China.”
According to the latest statistics, the trade between Guangdong and Poland was 34,118 billion yuan in 2018, an increase of 4.7% year on year.
