On April 18th, Dr. Ali Bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, the Consul General of the State of Qatar in Guangzhou, signed a publishing contract for his novel "The Sun Fleet" with Beijing Normal University. This novel is the first Arabic novel about the great Chinese voyager Zheng He and his voyage.

The novel tells the stories happened along his voyage in Vietnam, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Hormuz, Oman, Qatar, Mecca and East Africa.

The dialogue between these cultures and different ethnic groups in this novel shows the beauty of the Silk Road. Besides, the novel praises the traditional friendly relations between China and countries along the ancient Silk Road, including the Arab countries.

The Chinese version of this book is expected to come out this August on the 25th Beijing International Book Fair.
