Shenzhen residents aged between 18 and 59, regardless of whether they have a Shenzhen hukou or are covered by the local medical insurance, can receive free COVID-19 vaccines at a number of community health centers until today, DT News reported.

According to partial statistics, Luohu District has opened 46 vaccination points (temporary vaccination points) and Futian District has 52 vaccination clinics. Longhua, Nanshan, Yantian, Guangming districts and Dapeng New Area have opened 51, 43, 4, 31 and five community clinics for the vaccination, respectively.

Citizens can make an appointment on the WeChat miniprogram “Shekangtong” (社康通) for the vaccine inoculation. On-site appointment is acceptable at some community health centers.

Citizens will receive a QR code after a successful appointment, and need to bring their ID card to the selected vaccination site at the appointed time, and then receive the shot after on-site confirmation.

It should be noted that residents who fail to arrive on time for their vaccination schedule three times after successful appointments will be blacklisted and will not be allowed to make any appointment in a short time.

The vaccination will be on a first-come first-serve basis until the vaccination sites run out of available doses, according to the DT News report.
