Guangzhou's Huangpu district participated in an online promotion fair on June 12, designed to attract high-caliber educational talents to Guangzhou by offering preferential policies in various areas.

High-caliber talents in basic education who meet certain requirements can enjoy a subsidy for settling down of 2.46 million yuan ($347,635.6), while the number will reach 2.96 million yuan for those in vocational education.

The employment of their spouses as well as the enrollment of their children will also get priority according to the relevant policies.

Huangpu offers on-time subsidies for newly-employed staff members in local public primary schools, secondary schools, and kindergartens of up to 50,000 yuan based on their degrees.

International schools are being encouraged to be built in Huangpu district to meet with the education demand for children of high-caliber talents in the area.
