China Southern Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines will increase their flights and expand routes on offer in the summer and autumn, sources from the companies revealed.
China Southern Airlines will add 312 flights a week between Shenzhen and 21 mainland cities.
Internationally, it will reopen a route from Shenzhen to Manila in the Philippines, and increase flights to Jakarta in Indonesia to two flights a day. Domestically, the daily flights from Shenzhen to Beijing Daxing International Airport will increase to four flights a day.
Shenzhen Airlines will increase 70 routes and operate 135 flights a day from Shenzhen to 58 other mainland cities. In the upcoming new season, the company will offer a discount of 65 percent off the new route between Shenzhen and Ningbo in Zhejiang Province.
Students taking domestic flights with Shenzhen Airlines before June 30 can enjoy 70 percent off the ticket price. The discount tickets have to be purchased three days in advance, according to a release by the company Monday.
