Xuwen county, Zhanjiang issued the Notice on Interim Measures for the Support of Agricultural Product Circulation and Processing amid the Epidemic Prevention and Control Period on Feb 15 to ensure that agricultural products continue to be sold as best as possible in the county and stabilize farmers' incomes.

Focusing on the actual situation of agricultural product sales, Xuwen has taken multiple measures to promote the implementation of various tasks, including the production and marketing of agricultural products in Xuwen county, such as agricultural production and marketing docking, market regulation, as well as quality and safety testing.

Purchasers of large quantities of Xuwen's agricultural products will receive financial support. Those that purchase 600 tons of pineapples and bananas or more than 300 tons of vegetables will be subsidized with 20 yuan ($2.84) per ton for pineapples and bananas, as well as 30 yuan per ton for vegetables.

Agricultural product processing enterprises that meet the conditions to resume work can receive a one-time support fund of 50,000 yuan for processing pineapples with a total volume of 600 tons or more, 70,000 yuan for more than 900 tons, and 120,000 yuan for more than 1,500 tons.

E-commerce service enterprises that meet the conditions to resume work who purchase agricultural products in Xuwen will be given a subsidy of 1.50 yuan for each item if the sales volume reaches more than 3,000 items.

In addition, Xuwen will integrate 7 million yuan of agriculture-related funds and set up a special loan program for agricultural loans. Funds will be used to support agricultural-related enterprises to participate in the production, processing, and transportation of agricultural products in the county.

The above measures will be implemented from Feb 15, 2020 to March 31, 2020.
