China Southern Airlines has acted to meet the needs of passengers in wake of the 2020 Spring Festival travel rush, which began on Jan 10 and will end on Feb 18, lasting 40 days, according to airline officials.

During the travel rush China Southern Airlines will add 386 flights to handle passengers, especially those traveling to Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Shanghai, Bangkok and Seoul.

Officials said that the airline operates 56 airlines in Shenyang, to 40 cities and regions in the country and in the world.

The company is expected to operate 4,858 flights during the 40-day travel rush.

Data showed that Shenyang passengers like to travel to Hainan province before the Spring Festival holiday and after the holiday many travel to cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing and Yiwu.

Officials said that when it comes to international destinations, Shenyang people are fond of Los Angeles and Busan in South Korea.

During the rush, the company will add a flight to Bangkok and Seoul every day.
