IE Expo Guangzhou, South China's leading trade fair for environmental technology solutions, kicked off its fifth session at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou on Sept 18, with more than 10,000 new and high technologies in environmental protection put on display.
The three-day event has drawn 600 exhibitors from 16 countries, including Germany and China, to display their cutting-edge environmental technologies and scientific solutions to tackle global environmental problems in water, air, soil, and solid waste.
A variety of smart products, including a 5G auto-pilot sanitary robot that can identify and clean up garbage and smart trash cans that can help garbage sorting, have garnered great public attention at the expo.
In addition to numerous exhibits, this year's expo also features a series of forums, exhibitions, and exchange activities such as the 2019 South China Ecological Environment Innovation and Technology Conference, which offers a platform for people from all walks of life to share insights on environmental protection in terms of policy trends, technology upgrades, and programs application.
The Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province has also put up a special exhibition to show visitors its accomplishment in safeguarding Guangdong's air and water quality, as well as its efforts in constructing a beautiful Greater Bay Area.
