Mark Eames and his family hailing from Australia received their permanent residence from the Nansha government in November of last year. They then set up their own company within just half a year, with assistance from the government and many preferential policies.

Before coming to Nansha, Guangzhou, Eames was a CTO for a Fortune Global 500 company. His wife, Maria Eames, was a registered doctor in Australia. They could earn over a million dollars a year. However, they moved to Nansha to seek further development in their careers.

On July 11, the Australian entrepreneur delivered a speech to senior officials from local artificial intelligence enterprises, teaching them how to get assistance to speed up software development, which is what Eames' company provides - consulting services for accelerating software development.

Eames owns more than 20 years of experience working in a world leading IT company. He worked for enterprises and governments, and is also an expert in both technology and management. When asked why they set up such an innovative enterprise here in Nansha, Maria Eames said, "The sky here is clear and the government is efficient. We saw a bright prospect, and every day there are new high-tech companies popping up."

"We fell in love with this place the moment we arrived here," she added.

A professional team from the bureau of commerce of Nansha Development Zone contacted them the day they got their permanent residence. The team provided them with practical information about the district. With their help, the Eames completed the registration of their company within a few days.

"We never experienced such home-like services in the US and Australia. We have every reason to believe that both the demand for foreign talent resources in Nansha and the attractiveness of Nansha will keep increasing," said Mark Eames.

According to Xie Xiaohui, the head of Nansha's bureau of commerce, the story of the Eames is a signal of Nansha's welcoming environment to the world. He also mentioned that foreign talents in Nansha can enjoy multiple preferential policies.

"We are making more preferential policies toward innovative services like that of the Eames," Xie said. "They may be unveiled before the end of 2019."
