German side Monchengladbach are set to play their first match in China in club history against Chinese Super League team Guangzhou R&F on May 22.
The news was announced during a press conference here on Monday.
"We are very glad to present German football to Chinese fans, and build a bridge between German and Chinese football," said Peter Hambuechen, global marketing director of Monchengladbach football club.
Monchengladbach will play Dortmund for the final round of Bundesliga on Saturday. Ranking 4th in the league table, "Die Fohlen" have a good position to qualify for the next season's European Champions League next season.
Guangzhou R&F are currently 10th at the Chinese Super League table.
