On December 18th, Guangdong held a grand gathering to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the country's reform and opening-up, to get to the heart of President Xi's speech in the national grand gathering.

Li Xi, Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, attended and addressed the meeting.

President Xi delivered an important speech at the grand gathering in Beijing, reviewing the development process of reform and opening-up, summarizing the great achievements and valuable experiences in the past 40 years, and putting forward the goal of deepening reform and expanding opening-up, Li said.

According to Li, to implement the sprit of President Xi’s speech, Guangdong should take the opportunity and challenge to deepen reform and expand opening-up in an all-round way under the guide of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Hence, the province should sum up its experience and inspiration gained from the past 40 years and be aware of its opportunity, challenge, mission and task in the next round of reform and opening-up for a new era.

In detail, Guangdong will take part in the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, insist on the new development concepts include innovation, harmony, green, open, sharing, seek balanced development such as the rural revitalization strategy and ensure the leadership of the CPC.
