Guangdong delegation held a plenary meeting on March 6th to deliberate central government’s work report. One hot topic is Guangdong's coordinated development.

After the discussion, Hu Chunhua, deputy to the NPC and Secretary of CPC Guangdong Committee, told the media that 4 main policies will be carried out this year to help Guangdong’s different regions develop coordinately.

Hu briefed that more efforts will be made in transport infrastructure projects linking Pearl River Delta and less developed areas, including highways, high speed rails and airports.

Also, the province will support advanced manufacturing to move from PRD to less developed areas.

Meanwhile, less developed areas will improve their public services, such as building more hospitals.

Besides, Guangdong still has a poor population of over 1 million, and priority will be laid in pulling them out of poverty.
