On the occasion of 71st Republic Day of India, Consulate General of India, Guangzhou held a reception in Guangzhou on Thursday.

Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr. Qin Weizhong and Vice Chairperson of the Guangzhou Committee, CPPCC, Ms. Yu Xinwei were the chief guests for the event.

In their remarks, Vice Governor Mr Qin Weizhong and Consul General of India Mr Sujit Ghosh in Guangzhou recalled positive developments in India- China and India - Guangdong relations in the year 2019 and said that both sides will work towards further developing bilateral relations. Year 2020 will be an important milestone in India - China bilateral relations as both sides will be celebrating 70th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between India and China.

Representative of provincial and local government from Guangdong and other provinces, diplomatic corps, media, academia, cultural organizations and business community attended the reception.
