A party will be held to celebrate the 70th National Day of the People’s Republic of China in Guangzhou on October 13th, 2019. There will be card games for adults, LEGO for kids to play, as well as live singing performance, dance and delicious lunch for all attendees.

Here is the menu of the lunch:

Vegetarian Hot and Sour Soup

(Fine chopped mixed vegetable soup with soya sauce, hot sauce, or vinegar.)

Gajar (Carrot) halwa

(Carrot based pudding, made from milk, carrot, sugar and dry fruits.)

(Deep-fried Potatoes and cauliflower with onion, tomato and spices.)

Samosa (Vegetarian)

(Deep-fried triangle-shaped dough of maida (Finely milled wheat flour without any bran) with a filling of boiled mashed potatoes, peas and lentils.)

Butter chicken

(Chunks of roasted chicken marinated in yogurt added to creamy gravy made of spiced onion, tomato, ginger and garlic.)

Dal Fry

(Boiled and mashed lintel cooked in a fried gravy of tomato and onion with spices.)

Dal Makhani (Buttery Lintel)

(whole black lentil, red kidney beans, butter and cream.)

Fish tikka

(Baked boneless fish with yogurt-based marinade and spices.)

Vegetable Biryani

(Steamed basmati rice, mixed fresh and seasonal vegetables stir-fried and garnished by adding aromatic spices.)

Mutton Biryani

(Steamed basmati rice and pieces of lamb stir-fried and garnished by adding aromatic spices.)

Chicken hot and sour soup

(Soup of carrot, beans, spring onion with soya sauce, chicken and olive oil.)

Fish curry

(Fish cooked in a gravy of tomato, onion and garlic.)

Butter Naan

(Long flatbread brushed with butter made from a dough of maize flour baked inside coal-fired oven.)
