It has 42 activities, including forums, cultural performance, world cuisines collection, and a beer festival. Visitors will enjoy various cuisines from across China and other Asian countries and enjoy the colorful culture.

Pompeya Dreamers World Tour 2019

Date: May 23

Introduction:

Formed in 2006, Moscow band Pompeya combined unabashed pop and new wave music. Classic bands of the 1980s, from Duran Duran to The Cure, have influenced their creation. Some comments say they introduced Moscow's youth to indie culture.

The Diotima Quartet

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Place: Guangzhou Opera House

Introduction:

The Diotima Quartet was formed in 1996 and is known for reenergizing classic works by such notable composers as Beethoven and Schubert, Berg and Webern, and Debussy. The quartet is regularly invited to perform at prestigious concert venues and festivals around the world.

Tamsin Waley-Cohen Violin Recital

Place: the Sea World Culture and Arts Center

Introduction:

Described by the Guardian as a performer of "fearless intensity," Tamsin Waley-Cohen has established herself as one of the most insightful and versatile young British violinists. This season sees her debut in China with James Baillieu. She will be performing violin sonatas by Beethoven, Debussy, and Elgar alongside Heifetz's arrangements of pieces from Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.

Kit Armstrong Piano Recital : The Goldberg Variations

Date: May 24

Time: 8 p.m.

Place: Shenzhen Concert Hall

Introduction:

The pianist Kit Armstrong began composing at five, and shortly after commenced piano studies. Today he performs at the world's premier concert venues, including the Vienna Musikverein, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and the Berlin Philharmonie. Sony Classical released Armstrong's solo debut album in September 2013. Juxtaposing the works of Bach, Ligeti and Armstrong, the CD is a fine example of Armstrong's ingenious programs; his selection of Bach Chorale Preludes attracted particular critical attention.

Line: Inheritance and Development--2019 Shenzhen Art Museum Contemporary Art Exhibition

Introduction:

The exhibition focuses on "line" - an element with unique charm in Chinese history and culture, and its development in Chinese contemporary art. The curator selects a segment of historical development since the mid-20th century, with 84 works from nine representative artists on show.
