The U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou is relocated to 5th Floor, Tian Yu Garden (II phase) in the Tian He District of Guangzhou. The new facility is open formally today (Jan 18).

All consular services of the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou including passports and American Citizen Services, Non-Immigrant and Immigrant visas and the Adoptions Unit will be located in the new facility. Its Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is also relocated to the new offices.
 
According to Mr. Clark Randt, the United States Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, the new facility will increase the productivity of its Immigrant Visas service by 50%.

The Consulate section's Foreign Service Officers of the Guangzhou Immigrant Visa Unit is the only office handling immigrant visas in China. It will handle applications of residences of the People's Republic of China and The Republic of Mongolia for permanent immigration visa of USA.
